POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Program Development Associate ensures timely preparation and submission of adminstrative and program reports and participates in fund development efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
With Deputy Director, prepare program proposals, committee reports, program reports, Center Correspondence, articles for Center newsleter, email blasts etc.
Maintain schedules of required reports and database for grant proposals, fund raising, newsletter, advocacy, and other activities.
Coordinate fund-raising mailings and track results.
Work with Deputy Director and key volunteers to assure the success of special and cultivation events.
Prospect for new funding opportunities.
Administer the donor database.
Attend workshops, trainings, and other meetings as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
Two to five years experience in development/grant management.
Ability to work independently on detailed tasks;
Good organizational and language skills.
Proficiency in general office procedures.
Excellent word processing skills; 60 wpm typing.
Database management skills.
Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships.
Computer literacy, including desk top publishing, in a network environment with Windows operating system.
Acquaintance and experience using new media as a fund development tool preferred.
