The Center for Women and Families provides trauma-informed advocacy and support for individuals, families and entire communities affected by intimate partner violence and sexual assault. We mitigate the impact of trauma by building resiliency and reducing risk factors at all levels. We are guided by a strong grassroots history, feminist history, a commitment to social justice, a focus on prevention and a vision of creating a world without violence.
Overview of Responsibilities
The Director of Children and Family Services will provide strategic direction, oversight and supervision of our Kentucky and Indiana residential client services. The Director will ensure best practices of children, youth and family services across all departments and function as a key member of the Senior Leadership team. The Director will supervise the development, implementation, and evaluation of residential client services and children's services across the organization and ensure that client services work toward reducing clients' risk factors, increasing protective factors, and mitigating the effects of trauma. The Director will ensure the shelter environment and direct service delivery is in line with Trauma Informed Care principles for children and families exposed to violence. The Director will collaborate and coordinate with appropriate staff to develop and oversee program outcomes and evaluation, grants, HR needs, and budgets. The Director will participate in the development of departmental budgets and manage approved budgets each fiscal year.
Position Requirements
The position requires someone with a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field. A clinical license is also required. Experience in residential settings is required, and additional experience in community-based or in-home settings is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience working with children, youth and families is also required, along with 2 years of supervisory experience. The position requires someone with a strong working understanding of Trauma Informed Care principles.

Salary Range: $47,500 - $50,000
