Are you already the leader of a small regional, or large national, NGO?  Or a senior manager in a large INGO? If you are ready to step up to be the leader of a medium-sized organisation operating in 15 countries throughout Southern Africa, this post might interest you.

Salary

Starting Salary in the region of R95,000 per month, with a performance-linked 13th month.

Full description

The ED is responsible for implementation of the vision and mission of the organisation; its operations, programmes, human resources, training, fundraising, research, monitoring, evaluation and learning as well as sustainability.  The role involves managing a team which works towards gender equality in Southern Africa – with all the complexity that involves – fund-raising and advocacy, budgeting and strategic planning, reporting to the Board and working with government and other partners.
You will need to be a superb networker, gender advocate and fundraiser with the skills to manage, support and develop a team working in an topic area that can still be tricky to negotiate.
GL is a Southern African NGO, founded in 2001, committed to a region in which women and men are able to realise their full potential and participate equally in all aspects of public and private life.
